Dr. Romesh Wadhwani has been Founder, Chairman and CEO of three companies in Silicon Valley, spending ten years at each one before either going public or selling them. His third company, Aspect development, was sold to i2 Technologies in what was then the largest merger in software history. His latest venture, Symphony Technology Group, is a leading technology investor in the software universe. He has also been a director on the boards of several other companies and organizations.

A scientist-turned entrepreneur, Kiran Mazumdar Shaw has made Biocon the pioneering biotechnology conglomerate in the country. As Chairperson and Mission Leader of CII’s National Task Force on biotechnology, she played a crucial role in propelling India into the global super league. Kiran has received several awards, including the country’s highest honor – the Padmashri – from the President of India.

Shri H.K Mittal has been instrumental in establishing institutions of entrepreneurship development across the country. Besides being the Member Secretary of NSTEDB, he also looks after work relating to Plan-Coordination, Swarnajayanti Fellowships and Information Technology for DST. He is the National Programme Director of the UNDP project on SKILLS, which aims to demonstrate that jobs can be created through appropriate location specific, need based, competency-linked training interventions, using conventional as well as online systems.

Ajay Kela has over 25 years of experience in the IT Industry in the US and India, scaling startups and midsize companies to several billion dollar organizations. As President and CEO of Wadhwani Foundation, Ajay oversees all of Wadhwani Foundation’s initiatives which besides NEN, include Opportunity Networks for the Differently Enabled (OND), Biosciences and Biotechnology Research and Indo-US Govt Chair for Policy Advocacy. Ajay received his Ph.D in USA and his Bachelor's degree from IIT Bombay.

Prof. S. Sadagopan is Founder Director, IIIT-B, Bangalore, a new generation Graduate School focusing on all aspects of IT. He has taught at IIT Kanpur and IIM Bangalore for more than two decades. He has also taught at Rutgers University, USA; IIT, Madras; AIT, Bangkok; Stanford & MIT. He is a Fellow of IEE (UK) and the Computer Society of India. A Fulbright Scholar, Prof Sadagopan obtained his Ph.D. from Purdue University

Kanwal Singh, has over 19 years of experience in the areas of venture investing, marketing and business development across sectors in India. As Director and co-head of The Carlyle Group's India venture operations, he helped define the strategy for Carlyle India and invested in over half a dozen companies. Kanwaljit has worked for over 13 years in marketing and business development functions of Intel and Hindustan Lever Ltd. He is now with Helion Ventures, a $140 million India-focused fund that aims to provide capital and mentoring to technology-powered businesses in India

Naina Lal Kidwai has held senior positions at JM Morgan Stanley and ANZ Grindlays. She chairs various committees of industry associations, is member of the governing body of the NCAER and Director of the International Board of Digital Partners Foundation. Naina ranked third in Fortune magazine’s World’s Top Women in Business in Asia in 2000.

Randy Komisar has helped launch various enterprises, including Web TV and TiVo, and currently works with numerous other emerging technology companies. He is the former CEO of both LucasArts Entertainment and Crystal Dynamics and co-founder of the Claris Corporation. Randy is author of the international bestseller The Monk and the Riddle: The Education of a Silicon Valley Entrepreneur.

Arun Seth has over 30 years of experience in the Information & Communication Technology industry. He is on the Executive Committee for NASSCOM and also serves on the Board of IIM, Lucknow. Arun takes an active interest in humanitarian activities and is on the board of HelpAge India as well as on the 2006 selection committee panel for the NCPEDP-Shell Helen Keller Awards. He is an alumnus of the IIT Kanpur and IIM Kolkata.

Professor Howard H. Stevenson founded the Entrepreneurial Management Unit at Harvard Business School and led it for 18 years and is also a Director of HBS Publishing Company. A leading thinker on entrepreneurship and angel investing, he has written, co-written and edited several books, besides numerous prominent articles and case studies. Howard is the Founder and Chairman of a $4 billion dollar investment firm and is an angel investor in over 80 companies.
